Tastevinage 2015, Autumn 2015 – 10 of our wines rewarded !
The 96th Tastevinage took place at the Château du Clos de Vougeot on Friday September 4th. Inaugurated in 1950, this tasting is organised by les Chevaliers du Tastevin. Each year, 250 wine professionals are presents: winemakers, brokers, sommeliers…
The Chevaliers du Tastevin’s decision to invite Pierre Cheval and Aubert de Villaine to chair the Tastevinage made this a particularly special event. These guests were very involved in the registrations of “The Champagne Slopes, Houses and Cellars” and ” Climats of Burgundy” as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
After tasting 511 wines the final verdict was delivered: only 167 are selected to have the distinctive Tastevinage seal and labels.
